The “Tea” Project

Over the past couple of months, I’ve been working on my first final major project for the year. Its been really hectic and pricey as well. So this project is called “tea project” because we were given a theme which was obviously tea. For my theme I chose the Japanese Tea Ceremony. Lots of research and experimentation, stitching, unpicking, putting in zips and buttons, hand painting prints, transferring prints and a lot more things.

For my final design, I came up with this kimono inspired garment and everything was made from scratch and all the prints are hand painted. I was the one who stitched everything up but still with a little bit of help from my tutors.

Here’s some pictures of my journey to my final piece. 😀

Tell me what you think?
